Hope for Lupus Foundation Reaches Mindanao! 💜
A few days ago on August 19–20, 2026 will always be a special milestone for the Hope for Lupus Foundation (HFL) as we brought our first-ever HFL Meet & Greet to the Mindanao Region!
🦋 Our first stop was Tagum City on August 19, where 40 lupus warriors and caregivers, most of them from the Tagum Lupus Club, joined us in two sessions at Island Kitchen Buffet, Thank you so much💜. The following day, August 20, we continued to Davao City, where 20 lupus warriors gathered at Alu Hotel.
In just four short hours each event, we shared so much—introductions, stories, laughter, experiences, and meaningful conversations. It was wonderful to finally meet fellow warriors, reconnect with old acquaintances, welcome new friends, and hear the stories of both young and older warriors, as well as caregivers who continue to stand beside their loved ones in this battle with Lupus.
Behind every smile were stories of hope, struggles, courage, and unwavering resilience.
💜 This trip reminded us why HFL continues to reach out beyond Metro Manila—to connect with lupus communities wherever they may be, to listen, to support, to share knowledge and experiences, and most importantly, to let every lupus warrior know that they are never alone in this journey.
We came to Mindanao hoping to share our vision and mission, but we left with so much more in our hearts. The warmth, kindness, and genuine welcome we received from our fellow warriors made these two days truly unforgettable.
To everyone who welcomed HFL, shared your stories, laughed with us, and spent these precious hours together—Daghang Salamat! 💜
This may have been our first HFL event in Mindanao, but we certainly hope it won’t be the last. 🦋
