“Yesterday, 76 lupus warriors, 10 caregivers, and 9 police officers and other security personnel of QCMC shared a delicious meal after a walk and danced as Hope for Lupus Foundation celebrated the 2024 World Lupus Day on May 10th alongside the birthday of our dynamic leader, founder, and President Usec. Emmeline Aglipay Villar. It was a fun-filled morning; attendees arrived as early as 5 AM, and the walk commenced at 6 AM, followed by 40 minutes of energetic Zumba led by HFL facilitators Scarlet and Riza. Usec. Em delivered a heartfelt and inspiring message to everyone, who were delighted to surprise her with this celebration for her birthday. She led us in serving breakfast to everyone.
It was an amazing morning filled with lots of food, you can feel the happiness, love, and resilience, with the hearts of all lupus warriors present. Through activities like this, we raised awareness about lupus to the world. Ending the program at 8 AM to avoid the sun, we went home with memorable experiences, new friends, and a stronger lupus community united!”
