Dish-washing Liquid Soap Making Project

Hope for Lupus Foundation’s Dishwashing Liquid Soap-Making Project, a group of 20 fortunate lupus warriors were given the opportunity to participate.

The workshop took place on May 30, 2023, at the Quezon City Circle’s Peoples Park, led by Bubble Mikee’s Kuya Marty and his wife. Attendees comprised two mothers with lupus warrior-daughters, twin sisters, as well as other lupus warriors and facilitators.

The series of livelihood projects organized by the Hope for Lupus Foundation aims to empower its members and assist them in becoming more productive contributors to society. The participants expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Foundation for organizing this meaningful event. They believe that the valuable skills they acquired during the workshop will not go to waste, as they plan to establish their own dishwashing liquid soap business.

This is mommy Jenelyn and her daughter Juliana. Juliana is a 17 year old, incoming grade 12 student and a lupus warrior diagnosed in July 2019. They were among the fortunate participants of our recently concluded HFL Dishwashing Liquid Soap – Making workshop last May 30, which was held in People’s Park, Quezon City Circle.

Equipped with the skills they learned from the livelihood workshop and using the starter kits given to them by the foundation, this mother and daughter team are starting a small business of their own. Continuing production and selling dishwashing liquid soap products, they believe this will also help them provide additional budget for Juliana’s medications.

This is Hope for Lupus foundation’s primary purpose in organizing livelihood projects like this. We are hoping that more participants will try to put their learnings into practice and make a small profit to help them in their daily lives.
