Metro Manila meetup for 2025 in Barangay Matatalaib, Tarlac

Yesterday, we held our first out-of-Metro Manila meetup for 2025 in Barangay Matatalaib, Tarlac. Around 20 lupus warriors and some caregivers from various areas of Tarlac and Pampanga joined us, along with two others who traveled all the way from Baguio City. These warriors gave their time and effort just to be with their fellow Lupies, cherishing this special moment together.

It was a day of sisterhood, new friendships, and a renewed sense of belonging. We cried, laughed, played, danced, and shared meals as we opened up about our lupus experiences and personal journeys.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, especially our esteemed speakers:
Dr. Prince J. Lambertine Felipe, Occupational Therapist and Lifestyle Coach
Mr. Rudnan Chavez, Motivational Speaker and a loving, supportive husband to a fellow lupus warrior from Tarlac.

A special thank you to Ms. Gly Muzada, a fellow lupus warrior, for her surprise donation of 20 packs of rice for all attendees. We also deeply appreciate the dedication of our area team leaders for their packed giveaways and the unwavering efforts of our facilitators, who went out of their way to organize and lead this event.

This is exactly what the Hope for Lupus Foundation envisions for every meetup and event we hold—to create a welcoming space where warriors and their caregivers feel loved, understood, and supported while raising greater awareness about lupus.
